Probation for man who beat up girlfriend at work

NASSAU- A jealous man who beat up his girlfriend in her office has been placed on probation for six months.

Anthony Thompson, 40, admitted to attacking the woman while visiting her at the bank where she works on November 10.

The court heard that Thompson flew into a jealous rage after the 37-year-old left the office to get an item from her ex-boyfriend.

When she returned to her office, the man unleashed a flurry of blows on her, causing her to scream for help.

Thompson was charged with assault several days after the incident.

Magistrate Shaka Serville ordered Thompson to take anger management classes during the probationary period.
