NASSAU- A man caught trying to smuggle a kilo of cocaine into the United States has been fined $20,000.

Deejay turned drug smuggler Raymond Evans, 22, was arrested at the Lynden Pindling International Airport on May 23.

Magistrate Forbes ordered Evans to pay half of his fine to secure his release. The remaining $10,000 is due by the end of the July.

Evans is next due in court on August 3 for a status hearing.
