Judge denies bail for accused revenge shooter

NASSAU- A businessman man who live-streamed himself carrying out a revenge shooting remains in prison after a judge labeled him a flight risk.

London Rahming, 25, filmed himself shooting at the Jerome Avenue home of Renaldo Georges on March 14.

In the video, Rahming shouts “turn yourself in” before firing several rounds at the home from a handgun. No one was injured.

In 2018, a jury acquitted Georges of abetment to murder and acting an as accessory after the fact in the murder of Rahming’s brother, Leo Rahming, who shot dead at his Marathon Road car wash on May 4, 2017.

Following the video, police charged Rahming with the attempted murders of the occupants of the home: Renaldo Georges, Evene Georges and Gerriah Adderley.
He was also charged with possessing a handgun with the intention of endangering their lives.

Rahming has been denied bail on the grounds that there is a likelihood he will abscond given the evidence against him.

Rahming faces a potential maximum sentence of life imprisonment if convicted.

Meanwhile, a psychiatrist who examined Rahming at the prison said he’s fit to plead, despite finding that he suffers from drug induced psychosis.


Rahming is next due to return to court on August 3 to receive a voluntary bill of indictment.

Teen killed in gambling game

NASSAU- A teenage boy was arrested after he allegedly fatally shot another boy during a gambling game.

According to reports, a group of boys were playing a dice game on a park on Willams Lane on June 3.

The loser left the game and returned with a gun, which he used to shoot 13-year-old Quinton McKenzie twice.

McKenzie was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries

Man jailed for posting ex-girlfriend’s sex tape

NASSAU – A bitter man who posted his ex-girlfriend’s sex tape on social media has been jailed for 18 months.

Aaron Nathan Mackey, 23, published the secretly recorded sex tape to the woman’s Facebook story after she ended their on-off again relationship for good in May 2022.

The Court heard that after making the post Mackey taunted the woman and threatened to publish their intimate moment on an amateur porn site.

After viewing the video, Mackey’s friends teased the woman and offered her $30 “for her time.”

More than 400 people viewed the video on the woman’s Facebook story before it was removed.

The complainant is two months pregnant with Mackey’s child.

Mackey pleaded guilty to voyeurism, intentional libel and unauthorized access to a computer at his arraignment.

Hotel worker accused of raping guest

NASSAU- A Canadian who is working on a construction project at Atlantis Paradise Island resort is accused of raping a guest at the hotel.

Prosecutors allege that Wayne McCann, 28, of Ontario, raped the 21-year-old American woman in his room on May 26.

He met his alleged victim at a bar on the hotel’s property.

McCann was not required to enter a plea to the rape charge when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans on May 30.

Prosecutors will send his case to the Supreme Court by presenting a voluntary bill of indictment on August 4.

Meanwhile, McCann’s bail application is set for June 8.


He’s represented by Carlson Shurland QC and Bjorn Ferguson.

Man accused of seeking sex from boy, 14

NASSAU- A 31-year-old man has denied that he solicited sex from a 14-year-old boy.

Prosecutors allege that Ashley Presley Anderson offered the teen cash for sex on May 20.

Anderson, of Sandilands Village Road, denied the accusation at his arraignment before Magistrate Kendra Kelly.

He pleaded not guilty to a charge of procuration and was released on $7,000 bail pending his trial.

Woman accused of hiding gun in vagina

NASSAU- A woman accused of hiding a loaded gun inside her vagina has been charged.

Prosecutors allege that Annette Johnson stashed an Austria Glock .40 pistol in her private parts when police arrested her and her boyfriend Dino Smith on May 20 on suspicion of armed robbery.

Prosecutors say Johnson hid the gun for Smith.

Police allegedly found the pistol and 13 rounds of ammunition hidden in the toilet tank after Johnson used the bathroom.

Johnson and Smith pleaded not guilty to charges of possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition at their arraignment before Magistrate Samuel McKinney on Monday, May 23.

They were each granted $7,500 bail and there trial is set for August 23.

Men jailed after hero foils housebreaking

NASSAU- An armed have-a-go hero foiled a housebreaking when he detained two men he caught staking out a home on Oceanview Drive, West Bay Street.

Police arrested Shavez Hart and Tiko Smith for possession of housebreaking implements at daytime as a result of the civilian’s bravery.

It all began on May 18 when two men working on the property in question spotted a suspicious car when they returned from a hardware store.

A man exited the car and ran down the street.

But on closer inspection on the vehicle, the workers saw two other men crouched in the car.

As a result, one of the workers got his licensed shotgun and ordered the men out of the car and made a citizen’s arrest.

When the police arrived, they searched the suspects’ car and found pliers, bolt cutters, masks and gloves inside.

Hart and Smith pleaded guilty to possession of housebreaking implements and vagrancy at their arraignment before Assistant Chief Magistrate Subusola Swain on May 23.

Due to Hart’s extensive criminal record, the magistrate sentenced him to 18 months for having the housebreaking tools. Smith was jailed for six months on the charge.


Both men received a concurrent sentence of 14 days on the vagrancy charge.

Preschool flasher is fined

NASSAU- A homeless man who exposed himself near a preschool has been fined.

Police arrested Lorenzo Bullard after an employee at Over the Rainbow Academy said he came to the school’s fence on May 16, pulled out his penis and began stroking it in the view of the children.

Bullard pleaded guilty to indecent exposure at his arraignment.

For his part, Bullard said that was “only trying to pee.”

He denied that he was trying to get off.
Bullard was fined $300. Failure to pay will result in a default sentence of two months in prison.

3 year sentence for sex with teen girl

Marsh Harbour, Abaco – An Abaco man was sentenced to three years in prison after he admitted having sex with a teenage girl who claimed she initiated the encounter.

Livens Marc Salomon, 31, was arrested at 12:35am on Monday, May 9 after officers on patrol caught him and the 14-year-old girl having sex in his car, which was parked near the South Side Dock, off the S C Bootle Highway.

His jailbait lover initially lied to the officers and told them she was 16–the age of consent. However, the girl eventually revealed her true age.

The girl said she left home without her mother’s permission because she was bored. She walked to a nearby bar, where she met Salomon.

The girl claimed that she came onto Salomon and they left the bar in his car. She reportedly asked him to pull on the side of the road.

The girl said she started fondling Salomon before she removed his clothes. They were in the throes of passion when police caught them red-handed.

Police informed the child’s mother of her whereabouts.

Before the police arrived, the mother had searched for her daughter after realising she was not home around 11pm on Sunday.

The mother called her daughter and asked where she was. The girl said she was in the bush using the bathroom, although her home has one before she hung up on her mother. Her mother called back, but the girl didn’t answer. After repeated calls, the girl picked up the phone and told her mother she was in the bush.

Salomon pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Ancella Evans.

Sergeant 3522 Ian Woodside was the prosecutor. Salomon was unrepresented.

Son charged with sex crime that put dad in prison

NASSAU- Justin Pratt Jr doesn’t only have his father’s name. Prosecutors say the 20-year-old also shares his father’s liking for underage girls.

Just two months after his father took a plea deal and was sentenced to four years in prison for having a forbidden sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl, Pratt was arrested for the same crime.

Prosecutors allege that Pratt, 20, had relations with a 13-year-old girl in February, March and May of 2022.

Pratt was not required to enter pleas to the charges. He was denied bail and he returns to court in August.

The minor was a willing participant; however, she could not give her consent because she’s not 16.

Pratt Sr had multiple illegal hookups with a 14-year-old between June 1, 2019 and January 24, 2020, the date of his arrest.

Police caught Pratt red handed on January after the child skipped school for one of their sex sessions.

A concerned citizen called police when they saw Pratt taking the girl, who was still wearing her school uniform, into his apartment on Shamrock Close around 9am.

When the officers responded, they reportedly heard “sexual noises” coming from the residence.
