NASSAU- A police officer accused of arranging the murder of his romantic rival has been fired, officials said.
The former corporal and a relative, who is on bail for murder, are expected to make their first court appearance on Monday in relation to the December 3 murder of 43-year-old Jayson Whitfield. He was shot multiple times in the head in Garden Hills.
The officer of 25 years was arrested on the job at the Magistrates’ Court Complex on December 5.
