
Nassau, BAHAMAS- Two men are facing charges in the brutal beating of a woman.
Esther Daxon was sent to hospital as a result of the January 20 incident. The attack was caught on camera and shared on social media.
Police have charged Calvin Sargent, 27, a deejay, and Dillon McKinney, 23, an immigration officer, with causing grievous harm.
The men elected a trial before the magistrate and pleaded not guilty.
They face a maximum sentence of seven years’ imprisonment if convicted.
Both were each granted $8,500 bail with reporting conditions.
The matter has been adjourned to February 24.
