NASSAU – A 20-year-old has been charged with murder after he allegedly stabbed his friend and put his body in a garbage bag in an attempt to conceal the crime.
Prosecutors believe Normand Toussaint killed Omar Davis Jr at his Orchid Lane home on August 15.
Then, Bastian allegedly stuffed Davis’s body in a garbage bag before putting it in the trunk of a Honda Fit.
Police found Davis’s remains inside the car, which was parked near bushes on East Avenue.
Davis and Toussaint reportedly had an intimate relationship.
Toussaint did not show any emotion during his brief court appearance before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt.
He did not have to enter a plea and was remanded to prison.
However, his lawyer Patrick Mackey is expected to make a bail application on his behalf in the Supreme Court.
Toussaint returns to court on December 27.
