NASSAU- A man has been denied bail after he was accused of the statutory rape of a missing teenage girl.
Prosecutors say Steveland Johnson , 28, molested the 14-year-old on six occasions this year.
The girl could not legally consent to the acts because she is under 16.
Johnson is charged with unlawful sexual intercourse, and he was not required to enter a plea when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt.
Johnson’s next court appearance is in August 24.
