ABACO- A burglar who raided a dead man’s home has been jailed.
Nathan Saunders, 27, of Cooper’s Town, Abaco, broke into the unoccupied home, shortly after the man who lived there died in a traffic accident on the island.
Saunders made off with the dead man’s clothing and other possessions.
Investigations led police to Saunders, who turned himself in soon after police issued a wanted poster for him.
Saunders was found with the dead man’s property.
Saunders pleaded guilty to housebreaking and stealing at his arraignment before Magistrate Ancella Evans on Friday and was sentenced to 18 months in prison.
