Inquest to be held into murder-suicide

Nassau- A coroner’s inquest will be held into the deaths of a man and his fiancée in a murder-suicide, police announced today.

Detectives believe that Fenron Delano Ferguson, 24, shot and killed 21-year-old Heavenly Terveus in front of their newborn son before he turned his .380 caliber handgun on himself on January 22.

Ferguson died in hospital of his self-inflicted injuries on January 24.

Days before the shooting, Ferguson had reportedly damaged Terveus’ car and threatened her.

Police said lawyers from the Department of Public Prosecutions have agreed with the investigators’ conclusion.

The evidence supporting that finding will be presented at an inquest.

Police have not given a date for the start of the inquest.
