ROCK SOUND – A man acquitted of a deadly shooting was murdered along with his four-year-old son Saturday afternoon.
Jameric “Big Meech” Green had relocated to Rock Sound, Eleuthera from New Providence shortly after his 2018 acquittal for the murder of Javan Forbes.
Green, his wife and their three children had reportedly gone to check on a home under construction in Rock Sound around 5pm.
But they were ambushed by two masked gunmen, who killed Green and the toddler in a hail of gunfire.
Green’s wife fled and raised the alarm. And the killers escaped in the family’s white Toyota Mark, with two other young children inside.
Police found the car abandoned through a dirt road and the children unharmed a short time later.
Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department have arrested several people in connection to the incident.
