NASSAU- Police have arrested a funeral director for the second time in three months in connection with the rape of a child.
Godfrey Gray, 39, of Pinewood Gardens, appeared in court on December 5, 2020 after police accused him of the rape of a 13-year-old girl over a span of three months. The sexual abuse allegedly began while the child was 13 and continued until she turned 14.
After getting bail in that case, Gray allegedly reoffended.
Gray appeared before Deputy Chief Magistrate Andrew Forbes today on accusations that he raped another 14-year-old girl on March 7, 2021.
Gray didn’t have to enter a plea to the charge of unlawful sexual intercourse.
Magistrate Forbes remanded Gray to prison and adjourned his matter to April 28 for the presentation of a voluntary bill of indictment.
