Nassau, BAHAMAS- A man, who has filed for divorce, has been charged after allegedly attacking his 32-year-old wife and their two-year-old daughter.
Police arrested the man on August 9 after his wife alleged that he pulled a handgun on her, threatened to kill her and beat up their child.
Police did not recover a firearm. They charged the husband with assault with a deadly weapon, threats of death and cruelty to children.
He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment and was granted $7,000 bail.
As a bail condition, the man has to leave the marital home and stay at least 300-feet away from his wife.
He will be allowed supervised visits with his daughter with the permission of Social Services.
The man’s trial is set for October 23.
