NASSAU – A doctor accused of soliciting sex from an underage boy that he met online was granted bail on Thursday, January 23.
Dr. Zephrick Newbold, a radiologist at the Princess Margaret Hospital, was arrested on January 9 and police allegedly found him with a photo of the 15-year-old’s genitals.
Newbold was denied bail on January 13 when he was charged with solicitation and possession of child pornography.
Newbold is forbidden from contacting any of the prosecution’s witnesses as a condition of his $15,000 bail.
