A teenager was shot early Tuesday, December 14, as he allegedly tried to hit officers with his vehicle.
Around 1am, police officers on patrol tried to pull over a silver colored Mercedes SUV near Mermaid Boulevard in Golden Gates.
The teen driver of the SUV didn’t stop when asked to—and a subsequent police chase ended at Cox Way.
As the officers approached the vehicle from behind, they ordered the driver to come out of the SUV.
That’s when they allegedly saw the vehicle reversing towards them.
The officers feared for their lives and opened fire on the SUV.
The vehicle came to a stop. Police said the juvenile suspect was shot in the buttocks. He’s in stable condition at hospital.
