NASSAU- A cop is behind bars after he allegedly pulled a gun on another policeman at a bar.

Police were called to the Hookah Lounge on Carmichael Road on April 30 after off-duty Constable Derron Lewis allegedly slapped Paul Patton and pulled a gun on him.

When officers responded, they allegedly saw when Lewis handed a loaded Glock pistol to Alvin Morley, a civilian. As a result, police arrested both men.

They appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt on Tuesday on charges of possession of an unlicensed firearm and possession of ammunition.

Lewis, who works at the Rapid Response Unit, also charged with possession of a firearm to put Patton in fear.

Lewis and Morley pleaded not guilty and remanded to custody.

They will return to court later this week for a bail hearing.
