Charges filed in dominoes murder

NASSAU- Police have charged a man who they say fatally shot a man during a game of dominoes.

Authorities said that 51-year-old Anthony Rolle was playing dominoes with friends on Nassau Street on April 4 when a lone gunman shot him dead.

Prosecutors allege that John Elliott, 21, of Eneas Street, pulled the trigger.

In addition to being charged with the Rolle’s murder, Elliot is also accused of possession of a .380 pistol to endanger the lives of Ebenezer Frazier and Dexter Harris.

Elliott was not required to enter pleas to the charges when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt.

He was denied bail. Elliott returns to court on July 27.
