Bail denied for man accused of posting ex-girlfriend’s naked pictures

NASSAU-A man accused of destroying his ex-girlfriend’s phone and posting her nudes online has been denied bail.

Lemicko Johnson, 31, allegedly published the woman’s naked photos on July 3.

Just days before, Johnson broke up the woman’s Alacatel 3X cellphone on June 8.

Johnson faced charges of causing damage and voyeurism when he appeared before Deputy Chief Magistrate Andrew Forbes on Tuesday, July 14.

He admitted destroying the phone and said he had an explanation for the voyeurism charge.

When given a chance to explain, Johnson said he had used the photos with the woman’s permission.

As a result, Magistrate Forbes entered a not guilty plea.

Johnson returns to court on December 1 for the start of his trial.

He has to apply for bail in the Supreme Court since the magistrate lacks authority to consider bail for the offenses.
