Amputee accused of revenge killings denied bail

NASSAU – An amputee accused of killing two people in revenge for his twin brother’s murder will remain jailed without bail, a judge ruled on Wednesday.

Justice Cheryl Grant-Thompson denied bail for Raphael McKinney accused of the fatal shootings on March 13 of Roage Bryan and Delton Brennan on Thompson Lane for his own protection.

Prosecutors allege that the murders were payback for the murder of Rafael McKinney, who was gunned down on Thompson Lane on March 12.

McKinney, who lost his right leg several years ago as a result of a shooting, allegedly arrived through Thompson Lane by car.

He allegedly hopped out of the vehicle and opened fire on the men before he got back into the car.
