Nassau, BAHAMAS- A retired corrections officer who is accused of shooting his 60-year-old girlfriend surrendered to police officers on Friday.
Jeffrey Sherman, 66, allegedly shot Bridgette Ingraham in both arms during an argument at her home in Pinewood Gardens on Thursday.
She survived the shooting and remains in stable condition at the hospital.
Police issued a wanted bulletin for Sherman on Friday but recalled it after his surrender.
Sherman is expected to make his first court appearance next week.
