Man denies sex crimes on two children

Nassau, BAHAMAS – An Abaco man accused of sex crimes against two children has been granted bail.

Samuel Russell, a 55-year-old painter, is accused of indecently assaulting a nine-year-old girl and having pornographic images of a 15-year-old girl.

Police arrested Russell on August 2 while investigating the indecent assault complaint.

While in custody, the officers allegedly discovered sexually explicit videos of the teenage girl.

Russell pleaded not guilty to indecent assault and possession of child pornography at his arraignment on Friday.

He was granted $8,000 bail with one surety for each case. While on bail, Russell is banned from having any contact with his alleged victims.

Both cases will be heard on October 2.
