Charges dropped in Spy’s proceeds of crime case

NASSAU- Prosecutors have dropped their case against a businessman and his wife accused of possession of the proceeds of crime.

Police arrested Warren “Spy” Ellis, and his wife, April Dawkins-Ellis, after they found $US13,907 in their luggage at the Lynden Pindling International Airport in November 26, 2018.

They were headed to Canada when police arrested them.

Police charged the pair with removing the proceeds of crime and attempted exportation of restricted goods.

However, the case was dismissed last week after the prosecution withdrew the charges against them.
