NASSAU- School principal Olivia Daxon has been charged with assaulting a teacher at the Thelma Gibson Primary School.
The alleged September 12 assault on Shenique Sweeting prompted teachers to walk off their jobs and demand Daxon’s dismissal the following day.
Daxon, 50, denied the assault allegation at her arraignment before Magistrate Shaka Serville.
She was released on her own recognizance and will be tried on December 19.
