NASSAU- A man has been charged after he allegedly he had an inappropriate sexual relationship with a 13-year-old girl.
Prosecutors say 26-year-old Keyvon Mackey had relations with the girl three times in June. Police incorrectly stated Mackey’s age as 70 on the court docket.
In any event, the girl could not legally consent to the acts because she is under 16.
Mackey faced three counts of unlawful sexual intercourse when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Derence Rolle-Davis on August 29.
He was not required to enter pleas to the charges and remanded to prison.
Mackey returns to court on November 15.
He will remain in custody unless he’s granted bail by a Supreme Court judge.
