NASSAU- A judge on Thursday discharged the jury hearing the attempted murder trial of Marvin Ferguson after learning of his murder.
Ferguson, who also used the surnames Sherman and Reckley, was accused of trying to take Altaran Rolle’s life in a shooting at Palmetto Avenue on April 9, 2018.
Ferguson was gunned down off Finlayson Street around 10pm on Wednesday, June 8.
During the trial, Rolle identified Ferguson as his shooter in court.
Plus, GPS data from his ankle monitor placed him on the scene of the crime.
Ferguson was the son of convicted drug dealer Marvin Sherman-Reckley, an associated of murdered drug dealer Ian “Irie” Porter.
