NASSAU – A man on bail for attempted murder was killed one month after his co-accused met the same violent end.
Kevin “Skeva” McKenzie, 36, was gunned down outside a home in a government housing community known as The Big Yard off Windsor Lane.
The incident happened around noon today.
Police charged McKenzie with the attempted murder of Richard Brown, just three months after he was acquitted on appeal of the 2014 murder of Sergeant Wayne Rolle.
Prosecutors say McKenzie, Eduardo Carey and Cleophus Smith pulled up alongside Richard Brown as he walked along East Street on August 9, 2019 and opened fire on him.
Ironically, Carey was murdered last month. Smith has bail for the case but he’s currently in custody for another case.
