Police investigate fifth murder or 2021

NASSAU-Police are investigating the country’s fifth murder of the year after a man was shot dead in Kennedy Subdivision Monday morning.

Police were called to Gilbert Street around 3:30am after receiving reports of gunshots in the area.

Officers met the unidentified man dead on the ground.

Investigators are trying to piece together what lead up to his death.

The New Year began violently when physical education teacher Andrew Valdes was found murdered at the Stapledon School.

The country recorded with murders and one attempted murder on January 3.

Jilny Fleureme, 18, was shot in the head during a domestic dispute at the Haitian community in Treasure Cay, Abaco called The Farm. The shooting also left her 13-year-old brother in serious condition.

Around 8pm, D’Andre Thompson was found shot to death inside his vehicle at Sapdilla Boulevard.

An hour later, a Jamaican mechanic was found shot to death inside his car through White’s Addition.
