Nassau- Police arrested two men for attempted murder after they allegedly shot two men in a drive-by on Sunday.
Officers got reports of the shooting at Spencer and Key West Street around 6pm.
Police said the occupants of a dark colored car shot two men when they opened fire on a group gathered in a yard. The injured men were taken to hospital by private car before police arrived. They are in serious condition.
A short time later, officers on patrol saw a car matching the description of the suspects’ car at Cordeaux Avenue “travelling at a high rate of speed.”
The officers pursued the car and the chase ended on Lincoln Boulevard.
Both men ran from the car—and one of them attempted to discard a firearm.
Police caught both men and recovered a black 9mm pistol that they believe was used in the shooting.
