NASSAU-A father who allegedly betrayed his daughter’s trust by sexually molesting her has been remanded to prison.
The 57-year-old resident of New Providence appeared before Assistant Chief Magistrate Subusola Swain on five counts of incest.
Prosecutors allege that the man began abusing his daughter in June 2016 when she was 10 years old.
The sexual abuse allegedly continued up to September 17, 2020.
The alleged child molester’s name has been withheld to protect his daughter’s privacy.
He returns to court on November 14. At that time, prosecutors plan to fast-track his case to the Supreme Court with a voluntary bill of indictment.
