Probation for man found with pot brownies

NASSAU- A 20-year-old charged with marijuana edibles has been sentenced to probation for one year.

Police arrested Chrishon Forbes after they found two brownies in his car on August 7.

He pleaded guilty to drug possession at his arraignment.

His attorney Bjorn Ferguson asked Magistrate Samuel McKinney to give his client a second chance.

According to Mr Ferguson, Forbes was experimenting with baking with marijuana.

If Forbes is convicted of any crime while on probation, he’ll pay a $500 fine to avoid spending three months in prison.
