Man admits trespassing at Fox Hill Police Station

NASSAU-A man didn’t take no for an answer when officers at the Fox Hill Police Station refused to let him see a detainee on June 1.

Instead of leaving the premises, Dominique Adderley climbed the six-foot fence surrounding the station.

A sergeant checked the station’s grounds at 8pm and met Adderley talking to the suspect through a window.

The officer ordered Adderley down and arrested him for trespassing.

Adderley, 20, admitted the charge on Thursday, June 4, at his arraignment before Assistant Chief Magistrate Subusola Swain.

Adderley said he wanted to know if the suspect needed anything to eat.

However, it’s against police policy to accept food for suspects.

Swain placed Adderley on probation for 30 days. A probation breach will land him in prison for 10 days.
