3 year sentence for sex with teen girl

Marsh Harbour, Abaco – An Abaco man was sentenced to three years in prison after he admitted having sex with a teenage girl who claimed she initiated the encounter.

Livens Marc Salomon, 31, was arrested at 12:35am on Monday, May 9 after officers on patrol caught him and the 14-year-old girl having sex in his car, which was parked near the South Side Dock, off the S C Bootle Highway.

His jailbait lover initially lied to the officers and told them she was 16–the age of consent. However, the girl eventually revealed her true age.

The girl said she left home without her mother’s permission because she was bored. She walked to a nearby bar, where she met Salomon.

The girl claimed that she came onto Salomon and they left the bar in his car. She reportedly asked him to pull on the side of the road.

The girl said she started fondling Salomon before she removed his clothes. They were in the throes of passion when police caught them red-handed.

Police informed the child’s mother of her whereabouts.

Before the police arrived, the mother had searched for her daughter after realising she was not home around 11pm on Sunday.

The mother called her daughter and asked where she was. The girl said she was in the bush using the bathroom, although her home has one before she hung up on her mother. Her mother called back, but the girl didn’t answer. After repeated calls, the girl picked up the phone and told her mother she was in the bush.

Salomon pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Ancella Evans.

Sergeant 3522 Ian Woodside was the prosecutor. Salomon was unrepresented.
