3 murdered in a day

NASSAU- A man on bail for murder was shot dead at the Blue Hill Farmer’s Market Friday night, hours after a mother and son were allegedly gunned down by a man on murder bail.

Andy Johnson, whose street name was Sip, was on the western side of the market when a lone gunman shot him multiple times before fleeing in a Nissan Cube.

Johnson, 40, who was convicted of selling drugs at the same market earlier this year, died at the scene. He was on bail for the 2019 murder of Brian Evans.

Meanwhile, police are looking for a suspect in a double murder that took place on Sutton Street Friday morning.

Police believe that Keron Brown, 33, of Baltic Avenue, could help them solve the murders of Bernadette Tynes and Bertram McPhee.

Police said Tynes and her son were talking when a gunman, with whom they had a dispute earlier, returned around 10am and shot them multiple times before he fled.

According to police, Brown, who is on bail for a 2013 murder, cut off his ankle bracelet a short time later.

Meanwhile, Tynes’ younger son, Makaveli Tinker, is on bail awaiting a retrial for the 2015 murder of Queen’s College teacher Joyelle McIntosh.
