NASSAU- A man accused of sexual misconduct with a 14-year-old girl has been granted bail.
Matthew Butterfield, 39, of Village Crescent, allegedly touched the child’s vagina before he told her, “That’s what I want.”
The incident allegedly occurred on August 4, 2021.
Butterfield, who is otherwise known as Butters, is a friend of the alleged victim’s uncle.
Butterfield pleaded not guilty to a charge of indecent assault when he appeared before Magistrate Samual McKinney.
He was granted $3,500 bail and returns to court in February for trial.
