NASSAU- A suspect in the home-invasion armed robbery at the Westridge residence of well-known businessman Andrew Wilson was shot dead today.
Two thugs gunned down 27-year-old Randy Williams in an ambush as he left the gym on the campus of the A F Adderley Junior High School after playing basketball.
He was wearing an ankle bracelet as a condition of his $25,000 bail.
Prosecutors say Randy Williams, 27, Dominic Stuart and Akandi Gibson forced their way into the home around 9pm on December 30, 2021.
They allegedly tied up the family and robbed them of jewelry and cash before Williams and Gibson took Mr Wilson and his wife to the Mall at Marathon.
While there, they allegedly forced Mr Wilson to give them money from the safe in his store, QBC Electronics.
Meanwhile, Williams allegedly raped a 26-year-old woman while at the home.
In his police interview, Williams apologized for the rape. He claimed that he was high on ecstasy when the incident happened.
In total, the robbers got away with $65,000. They also took Mr Wilson’s 2020 Honda Passport, valued at $80,000, and jewelry, worth $7,200.
