Cashier denies stealing grocery

NASSAU – A former cashier at Solomon’s Fresh Market has been accused of stealing groceries worth $342.80.

Prosecutors allege that Vashnique Rolle, 28, of Bamboo Boulevard, failed to scan groceries for a customer.

The incident allegedly took place on November 17 at the Harbour Bay Store.

Rolle denied a charge of stealing because of employment at her arraignment before Magistrate Samuel Mckinney.

She was granted $1,000 bail.

Rolle will return to court on February 1, 2022, for trial.
