NASSAU- A man was charged on Thursday in connection with the New Year’s Eve slaying of a teenager.
Deno Francis, 23, of Fleming Street, has been charged with the shooting death of Hollis Aranha.
Prosecutors say Francis shot the 18-year-old multiple times shortly after 8pm. Aranha died soon after arriving at the hospital.
In court, Francis did not have to enter a plea to the murder charge.
Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt remanded him to prison. Francis returns to court in April.
