ABACO- A 22-year-old man withdrew his guilty plea yesterday in connection with last month’s hit-and-run in Abaco.

Cordell Culmer on March 30 had pleaded guilty to assault with a dangerous instrument after a video of him allegedly running into Ricardo McIntosh with his car on March 28 went viral.

At the time of his arraignment, Magistrate Ancella Evans released Culmer on $2,000 self-signed bail, pending sentencing.

In a surprising twist, Culmer withdrew his plea on the scheduled sentencing date.

Magistrate Evans set an August 11 trial date and freed Culmber on $2,000 bail with one surety.

As a condition of bail, Culmer has to report to the Cooper’s Town Police Station on Mondays before 6pm and not interfere with McIntosh.
